Job Description

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • To attend day-to-day calls and emails related issues and problems encountered by staffs.
  • To perform the daily checklist in terms of monitoring the health of servers, Virus upgrades, disk space usage, network activity, backup etc.
  • To perform quarterly preventive maintenance of the workstations, printers, and networking equipments.
  • To educate users on IT policies: security threats, internet usage policies, home folders usage polices. Additionally, to give a basic training on effective using of Outlook, managing archives, calendaring, to get the maximum utilization of the application.
  • To co-ordinate/follow-up with local vendors in getting adequate and timely support for day to day problems, connectivity, configurations.
  • To co-ordinate with GDS team for day to day problems and ensure smooth operations.
  • To maintain a record of calls logged for issues and problems encountered by the staff.
  • Involves in keeping IT Asset inventory through Asset Management Software and periodically review the hardware's and software's installed in the systems
  • Support in the opening of new offices, implants by liaising with GDS and ISP.
  • After office hour support either by call or remote access.
  • Perform monthly status report to supervisor regarding IT task, calls, issues and problems encountered by the staff.
  • To take new roles and responsibility as and when assigned by the Management.
Qualifications:
a bachelor's or associate degree in IT or a related field.

Experience:
Information Technology 5+ Years.

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems.
  • Hardware setup and software installation.
  • LAN networking and knowledge in routing, switching and troubleshooting of network systems.
  • Customer support service with high level of computer literacy.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS applications and similar.
  • With extensive knowledge in problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Has a good written and verbal communications skill.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Can work independently with minimum supervision.
