Company:My client is a Design Office in Bahrain specialized in high end residential projects. We pride ourselves in being able to adapt to projects and to the client's need.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee construction projects
- Coordinate and oversee heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and electrical works
- Serve as liaison to architects, engineers and consultants to develop, review and finalize project plans drawings schematics and specifications
- Ensure the consultants have incorporated the Client's requirements
- Participate in the pre-qualification or approval for engineers and contractors
- Assigning Engineering Staff to the project and providing engineering support
- Setting up standards in Design Construction and Engineering
- Monitor progress of construction works and advise the Project team accordingly
- Liaise with local authorities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects to assure conformance with construction documents programs and needs
- Check and ensure the Proposals/Works are in line with budget
- Inspect existing facilities and make recommendations for improvements as needed
- Establish and recommend priorities for Repair Project
- Supervise warranty correction work
- Estimate cost of construction and repair projects, including labor, materials and other related costs.
- Review and approve requests for payment from contractors
- Maintain safety standards in conformance with federal state and insurance regulations
Qualification & Requirements:
- Knowledge of planning and construction principles
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design ,installation and repair
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of building codes and inspection of certificate ion process
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to conduct on-site inspections of all MEP facilities
- Knowledge of planning and construction principles
- Knowledge of local authority requirements
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the full capability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, together with technical and legal documents in English languages. Therefore, a fluent handling of both languages is a must for this post.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive variety instructions and deal with several abstract and variables.
- The candidate should also be self innovative, creational, and able to work under minimum level of supervision in a heavy workload environment. This will be beside a quality sense of defining technical problems collecting appropriate and related data to establish solutions
