The Role:

The Hardware Compliance Engineering team is looking for a Compliance Technical Program Manager to drive certification and market access for Amazon Lab126 products. You will have deep knowledge of the compliance process and be responsible for managing wireless, safety and energy efficiency compliance with the regulatory agencies, the certification bodies and testing lab to ensure Amazon Lab126 products comply with all compliance requirements for MENA region. You will have deep experience with United Arab Emirates TRA, UAE ESMA, Saudi Arabia CITC and Saudi Arabia SASO and the approval processes of consumer electronics and will develop robust processes to effectively engage with Engineering, Operations, Global trade, Legal and other Amazon Lab126 teams to drive efficient and timely certification of our products. You must be responsive, flexible, process driven and be able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Key Responsibilities:
. Scope, plan, initiate, execute, and deliver certification across Amazon's suite of products.
. Establish and maintain lines of communications with regulatory agencies in India.
. Negotiate and influence effectively in regulatory matters with authorities, test labs and certification agencies.
. Standardize and simplify the India compliance process by developing regulatory strategies and implementing process to achieve certification.
. Maintain internal certification documents.
. Create and maintain processes for managing existing product certifications and renewals.
. Proactively provide clear regulatory guidelines regarding local regulatory environment.
. Provide responses to regulatory agencies inquiries regarding product information or issues.
. Review all regulatory agency submission materials to ensure timeliness, accuracy, comprehensiveness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
. Work with regional teams to ensure efficient and timely approval of new products and continued Regulatory support of marketed products.
. Collaborate with internal and external functional partners to identify and resolve information/process gaps in product development and global expansion compliance processes
. Regularly Collaborate with cross-functional teams in different time zones

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

. Bachelor's degree preferable in engineering or related technical discipline.
. 5+ years of regulatory affairs experience, preferable in consumer electronics.
. Experience in submission of products for certification.
. Proven effective experience in regulatory work and interacting with regulatory authorities and agencies and Trade Associations.
. Familiar with and able to identify, interpret and define regulations, requirements, guidelines, and other pertinent information issued by applicable regulatory bodies.
. Ability to read and synthe technical material and to prepare clear and concise written documents.
. Written and verbal communication
. Experience working with Asia-based manufacturing partners.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Master's degree.
. Proven track record and role model in a collaborative teamwork environment.
. Ability to move quickly and multitask in an ambiguous and fast pace environment.
. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people in a variety of disciplines though all levels of an organization.
. Ability to solve problems and drive efficiencies using metrics and information.
