Job Description

The Sr Hydraulic Engineer is responsible for developing, planning, and marketing the company's hydraulic services. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the vision for the department, and working closely with the engineering, sales, marketing, and after-sales team to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Sr Hydraulic Technician job also includes ensuring that the department's sales and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.

Note: They will be supported by a team and will be allowed to develop a team as and when required.

Requirements:
1. Technical competence in Fluid Power (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electro-Mechanical Systems)
2. Technical competence in pumps, valves, and their maintenance.
3. Experience in industrial hydraulics troubleshooting & repair services
4. Experience in on-site hydraulic system installation
5. Experience in preparing and reading drawings
6. Experience as a sales engineer in the industrial hydraulics sector
7. Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the GCC market
8. Minimum 10 years experience in the Hydraulics Industry
9. Good knowledge of the market, locations, contractors, and consultants.
10. Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) in Hydraulics, Mechanical, and Industrial Production
11. Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
12. Proven project management and communication skills
13. Demonstrated success in defining and launching new products and services.
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
15. Excellent teamwork skills

The Head of Operations (Hydraulics Division) is expected to:
1. Be an expert with respect to the competition

2. Define the product strategy and roadmap

3. Develop sales tools and collaterals

4. Develop Quality Plan and Guidelines for the Quality Department and ensure that the goods comply with the quality guidelines, before dispatching.

5. Develop Testing Plan and Guidelines for the Testing Department and ensure that the goods comply with the test guidelines, before dispatching.

6. Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals

7. Deliver a quarterly and annual revenue forecast

8. Propose an overall budget to ensure success

9. Brief and train the team at quarterly sales meetings

10. Effectively execute business strategies/policies to exploit the current market demand and generate future demand for products so as to enhance market share and profitability.

11. Conduct a market survey to keep track of the competitor's business policy, pricing structure, discount policy, etc so as to support the team's business strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

12. Regularly visit the existing as well as prospective customers to establish/maintain healthy and profitable relationships and also to find out their present and future demand to be able to meet them in time.

13. Keep track of the tenders floated by the government, semi-government and private sectors, obtain the tender documents, evaluate, prepare competitive quotations for the approval by the Managing Director and submit the same upon approval.

14. Lead the preparation of technical and financial offers on tenders.

15. Support and be the primary point of contact with clients during the implementation of the project and the supervision of works.

16. Prepare Material Purchase Requisition for products that are both: currently out of stock and long lead items based on the delivery requirements and in-house consumption.

17. Determine and document technical requirements to meet client goals

18. To check stock availability and the cost of the material that is to be used

19. To prepare quotation (including the # days required to complete the job)

20. To provide customers with a delivery date once they have approved the order

21. Review actual sales against budget regularly and ensure that the sale is proceeding in accordance with the projection.

22. Monitor regularly the outstanding debt statement and follow up to ensure collection of the credit in time and in full to avoid loss of money or litigation.

23. Deliver various studies and reports pertaining to hydraulic projects, including master plans, feasibility studies, technical designs, and specifications.

24. Explore new avenues of business such as new markets, customers, and new products, and services in order to expand the field of operation and enhance the volume of sales and profit.
