Job summary
The Senior Marketing Manager (MENA), Deals & Events is responsible for developing, scaling, and continuously improving our deal events program, which plans and executes high-impact demand driving event campaigns, including (e.g. Prime Day and White Friday Sale), across UAE/KSA/EGY. These events are essential building blocks to deliver our annual customer acquisition and engagement goals and enable our MENA marketplaces to reach scale. This critical role requires a balance of business and technical understanding, with a high degree of cross-functional collaboration, with business, operational, and technical teams to drive alignment in event inputs planning and targets setting, execution, and reporting via mechanisms to ensure readiness and delivery of results.
The role's key responsibilities include:
Events Program Management: Constructs and coordinates Tier 1/tentpole events. Manages, analyzes, improves, and scales deal events across UAE, KSA, and EGY marketplaces. Defines strategy and develops new use cases for event-based consumer marketing that drives customer engagement.
Target Setting & Alignment: Owns all event target setting (sales, units, deals, customers) and ensures alignment with finance, business, marketing, and operations for input readiness and delivery of strong outputs.
Reporting & Insights: Owns Reporting/Insights/Analysis to course correct mid-campaign and identify opportunities to raise Deals & Events bar in subsequent campaigns. Maximizes impact and efficiency of one of MENA's main drivers of customer engagement and acquisition through strong data driven customer insight and ownership.
Strategy & Doc Writing: Leads events commercial strategy and marketing innovation to maximize Deals & Events outputs across MENA MPs. Presents to senior leadership (Directors + VP) learnings and results, and collaborates with Worldwide/Emerging Markets counterparts to foster global best practice exchange. Authors Playbooks, Monthly Peak Initiative Review, Readiness, and Retrospectives documents.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires an individual with solid marketing, commercial and financial acumen. You must be comfortable working both at the planning level and diving deep into implementation as needed (managing initiatives, writing business requirements and analyzing data).
This role is based in Dubai, UAE.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. Advanced degree in business or marketing or engineering
. 8+ years experience working in Product/Program management, Consulting, Analytical marketing or Business management
. Outstanding verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
. Ability to think strategically and commercially while executing methodically with high attention to detail, operational excellence and ability to multi-task
. Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment, to lead by influence and earn trust at all levels
. History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
. Superior analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret data and make business recommendations
. Strong on dealing with ambiguity
