Do you want to lead MENA Marketing for the largest shopping app in the world Do you want to create innovative, bold Marketing programs that will leave a lasting impact on customers The Mobile Growth team is seeking an experienced, innovative, fun, and results-oriented business leader to own the strategy and execution for the Amazon shopping app as the Senior Manager of Mobile Marketing for MENA.
You will develop the strategy and execute to drive mobile app adoption and engagement by leveraging all the available mobile app channels including onsite (i.e. Amazon-owned properties), paid (i.e. partnering with third party advertisers), preloads, and non-digital including mass media, customer support, and physical assets. You will work to experiment with new acquisition and customer facing programs to drive Amazon app adoption and growth across MENA. You will partner with WW locales to run programs in MENA countries where Amazon operates. You will partner with the central Marketing teams to leverage Social, Search, Associates, Preloads, etc. You will partner with our Business Intelligence team to create robust, structured insights and reports to identify new opportunities and understand performance, and with our XCM and Local marketing teams to drive landscape and consumer analysis to derive actionable insights. You will be responsible for the overall budget and its execution against these programs.
The successful candidate will have to think strategically and execute rigorously. You must be detail oriented, understanding every step of the customer journey to simplify and improve performance. You understand the customer deeply: what motivates the customer, what frustrates the customer, and what will ultimately inspire and encourage the customer. You Earn the Trust of your stakeholders and influence them. You are highly analytical, can break down problems into logical drivers, see patterns, dive deep into the data to find opportunities and spot potential challenges. You look around corners for potential opportunities or challenges and proactively put in place plans to address. This is a highly visible position and you will have the opportunity to engage and influence regional leadership decisions.
A day in the life
You will lead a team of marketers that collaborates closely with the Mobile Growth technical and product team, to develop new innovative customer experiences to drive WW mobile app adoption and engagement. You will work closely with the central team and other locales to experiment, adapt and roll-out successful marketing programs. You will also work closely with other MENA Automated Marketing teams including the Paid Search, and Mobile Business Development teams to deliver results. You will strategize with these stakeholders to engage with customers, identify new customer value propositions, build and run campaigns, and measure results. You will also work closely with third-party advertisers and are responsible for the performance of a budget in the multiple tens of millions of dollars. You are the single threaded owner for MENA Mobile Marketing.
Job responsibilities
. Own MENA Mobile Shopping App Marketing strategy
. Develop, deliver and measure marketing experiments and programs to drive mobile app adoption and mobile app engagement
. Drive strategic thinking and initiatives across Paid App Marketing, Social Advertising and On-site marketing
. Collaborate and coordinate with 1) Regional marketing and product teams 2) WW Mobile Growth technical, product and analytics teams, 3) WW Mobile Marketing teams to identify opportunities and roll out programs, and 4) central channel and business development teams
. Represent Mobile Growth in key business reviews including operating planning reviews and quarterly and monthly business reviews
. Establish streamlined business processes across, effective marketing campaigns, and strategic partnerships
. Develop, report, and continually improve business performance metrics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. Experience developing consumer technology marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships, and building scalable business processes
. 8+ years in high-tech product/consumer marketing
. 5+ years of experience in content/brand marketing
. Bachelor's degree
. Experience coordinating cross functional and cross organizational teams
. Experience with partner management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. A strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives
. Demonstrable history of defining marketing strategy and executional excellence
. Decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire a team
. Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
. Strong drive for results, with the ability to manage independently and take calculated risks
. Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving industry and business organization
. Experience working cross-functionally across Marketing, Product Management, Analytics, UX, and Research
