Job summary
Amazon Web Services has an immediate opening for a Program Manager - Partners to help AWS continue to help grow our cloud computing business and make an impact in the Public Sector.

The successful candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator both written and verbally, and will lead multi-discipline, highly technical project initiatives. They will have successfully delivered complex project deliverables including managing cost, scheduling and performance for portfolios, programs, or individual projects. The candidate will be comfortable managing remote project delivery teams, and possess the ability to troubleshoot project implementation issues, and remove barriers to project success.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Driving Partner Sales, Consumption & Support Process Discipline.
  • Partner Organization Business Partnership and Support.
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with partners, AWS sales and partner teams, and AWS HQ teams around the world using a variety of mediums
  • Drive program implementation with internal and external stakeholders proactively communicate with senior and executive level stakeholders
  • Own customer relationships to drive government transformation programmes through Partners
  • Work across sales regions to understand functional and technical requirements to ensure the successful delivery of the programme(s)
  • Develop and track key performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve our internal tools and processes, including driving automation of repeatable work, and increasing overall team efficiency
  • Defines, drives and leads a predictable rhythm of business (RoB) in collaboration with peers and/or leadership internally and externally with Partners.
  • Ability to dive deep into data and build reports that deliver insights to help improve engagement and performance of the Partner team

A day in the life
Business Partnership and Support
. Drives Partner sales and consumption growth through mid to long term business planning. Analyzes the outlook and generates business insights to benchmark performance and/or define partner strategies. Contributes to integrating strategy components (e.g. programs, Investments), cascading, aligning, and executing the defined Partner strategy across region(s).
. As primary orchestrator of the Partner Portfolios/Partner Business Plans, activates sponsorship within vertical leaders & sub-regions.
. Defines, drives and leads a predictable rhythm of the business (RoB) in collaboration with peers, Partner Organization and/or Partner leadership. Leads end-to-end RoC activities to enforce great discipline and ensure quality outcome delivery. Provides in-depth business insights and recommendations to effect positive changes. Leads efforts and coaches team members to streamline and improve the RoB cadence across sub-region(s) internally and externally.
. Guides Partner teams/leadership on sales and consumption motions/strategies for opportunity, engagement & milestones management as a subject matter expert. Clarifies accountabilities and operationalizes the prioritized sales plays, industry solutions, and consumption motions. Guides Partner teams/leadership to generate new Partner led business, drive consumption, and accelerates the closing of existing opportunities, engagements & milestones.

Partner Sales, Consumption & Support Coaching for Growth and Transformation
. Drives awareness and clarity of programs & fundings. Intakes and drives the adoption of plans to create new habits among sales & Partner teams or partners.
. Drives optimization and improvement in Partner team processes and capabilities across the region(s). Assesses and anticipates customer/partner needs and applies or develops methodologies and resources to transform seller capabilities, and/or partner engagement processes. Models transformation to a coaching culture.

Driving Partner Organization Discipline
. Leads analytics on leading indicators (e.g. by Partner, by product, by country) and generates data-based insights. Leverages and develops reporting and analytical capabilities to generate data-based insights and enable visibility into revenue/consumption and forecast for partners .
. Drives Partner led sales and consumption process discipline, adherence to standards and excellence in execution, or pipeline health in collaboration with sales teams.
. Acts as a subject matter expert to convey the value of tools and drive the effective and rigorous usage of common and/or new processes and tools developed for the wider business to improve internal and external communications and engagements with Partners.

Supporting Executive Capacity
. Supports Partner leader capacity as a senior leader. Advises on and contributes to various aspects of business management (e.g., employee engagement, resource allocation, change management, building high-performing teams) in collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams. Represents the segment as an internal advocate and an extension of the segment leadership.
. Ability to dive deep into data and build reports that deliver insights to help improve engagement and performance of the Partner team.

  • Significant project management experience including the following disciplines: scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional English communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Extensive experience providing technology solutions for Public Sector
  • Proven experience supporting multi-vertical, global businesses that include Public Sector businesses
  • BS level degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience with active participation in sales, sales operations/management, account management, program management, business development, marketing, consulting, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience using data to drive business outcomes or inform business decisions.
  • 4+ years of experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
  • 4+ years managing projects, including planning, managing timelines, and tracking progress, and/or change management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.


  • International professional experience experience working in or with emerging markets.
  • Experience working in Partner Management Teams
  • Fluency in additional languages
  • Familiarity with the AWS product suite.
  • Masters or certification in advanced project management or technical training.
