Job Description SummaryThe supervisor is responsible for Fulfillment 5 leadership within a repair Cell. He/She will be responsible to execute production plans for the Cell while ensuring the highest standards of EHS, Quality and Productivity are maintained.
The supervisor reports to the Cell Leader and has direct supervisory responsibilities for the hourly operators on night shift.
Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:. Working as operations Leader Night shift to lead the cell's operations and hourly team in night shift.
. Responsible of managing the incoming inspection.
. Fulfilling the plans and assuring execution to meet desired goals.
. Responsible of insuring / implementing EHS requirements, track and trend concern reports to come with/ support/ influence risk reduction projects / Hazard hunts to assure safe work environment.
. Responsible for delivering quality products by implementing / sustaining quality procedures and controls.
. Responsible of maintaining and monitoring job cost to meet shop targets.
. Working with other functions quality/ engineering/ continuous improvement to increase the productivity.
. Responsible of cycle time reduction, by working with the other functions such as quality, and continues improvement to eliminate non-added value activities.
. Responsible of level loading and production execution to meet customer want dates
. Responsible of manpower allocation to meet production promised dates and assuring that they have the needed tools and skills.
. Monitor processes FPY first pass yield and set projects to improve the FPY percentages by working with other professionals such as quality and engineering team to improve the processes and the employees.
. Responsible of leading the team to achieve the targeted applied hours /utilization percentages.
. Responsible of developing the hourly team from skill and career wise.
. Being the vocal point between the management and the team.
Qualifications / Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 1 year of experience in Manufacturing).
- Experience in a leadership role within a power generation repair business (preferred).
- Familiar with basic LEAN concept & tools such as Takt time, kaizen, FIFO, PULL etc..
- Ability to lead and motivate others within a team environment.
- Good understanding of workshop practices/processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change.
- Strong communication & organizational skills.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Demonstrated EHS and Quality focus.
- Proficiency with computer tools (MS Office & SAP minimum)
- Arabic & English languages are a must.
Desired Characteristics. Production Management skills.
. Experience with Lean deployment.
. Good working knowledge of manufacture/repair processes associated with GE Gas Turbine components.
