Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the overall operations of client with particular regard to Information and Data security, including business continuity. Lead the team in charge of designing, testing and Implementation of all IT Security solution. Ensure that projects are delivering secure and robust IT solutions for the agreed IT Security needs Plan, lead and manage the establishment of a governance framework for effective Business-IT alignment, identification of risks, internal controls, and monitoring of the organization’s IT performance metrics. Ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements whilst continuously striving to improve IT efficiency and maintain the Technology Architecture organization, governance and KPIs.
IT Security Monitoring of information security and physical data security and review and provide recommendations on corrective action in order to ensure that adequate information and is provided and complies with the necessary standards guidelines and policies. Lead the systematic control of all business-relate information (both electronic data and physical documents) that are received and generated by company, throughout their life cycle (which includes storing, arranging, indexing and classifying records, destroying or archiving finished data/records) and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements. Monitoring of the data classification and risk categorisation of information assets in coordination with respective business/information owners, in order to enable the identification, analysis and mitigation of risk in information technology and business systems.
Implement and maintain the information security management system based on adopted standards including obtaining the certification where applicable, facilitating audits and maintaining the internal controls to ensure company's consistently complies with the defined norms. Design and implementation of Access Control to ensure servers are accessible on a 24hrs basis
Oversee the implementation of management recommended governance frameworks that can enhance IT functions, to ensure that internal controls are well developed to identify and mitigate any possible risks. Ensure that the governance forums are appropriately convened and managed, participate actively during governance forums and follow-up on remediation actions of findings Collaborate with IT Strategy to manage the definition, measurement and communication of IT performance levels against identified targets and standards, to ensure that the business is aware of IT performance established objectives. Manage the development and fostering of a Quality culture through contribution to the establishment of appropriate mechanisms which support the drive for a quality driven environment in all technology initiatives and effective integration with business within company. Develop and maintain information, applications and technology architecture in compliance with international standards and companies policies in order to meet the organization’s objectives. Develop the architecture guidelines and policies to ensure that the IT systems across company are protected and well maintained. Ensure optimal governance structure and compliance activities are associated with the IT standards and principles.
Lead the identification of any potential discrepancy of the applications developed from requirements and standards, ensure compliance to contractual terms by the service providers and support the achievement of defined service parameters, quality standards in accordance with SLAs, in order to meet business requirements. Manage the development and conducting of compliance related awareness sessions for the employees, to ensure they understand the importance of IT governance and its regulatory implications and ensure operating to the required quality standards. Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports and verify the effectiveness of the implementation plan to ensure adherence to strict internal controls.
Assessment and Management
Establish mechanisms and conduct assessments to identify, assess and mitigate IT risks related to information systems, platforms, IT operation procedures and business processes, in order to develop and recommend corrective action plans for resolution.
Develop and maintain information, applications and technology architecture in compliance with international standards and company Group policies in order to meet the organization’s objectives. Support company to modernize the technology foundation via digital platforms and enterprise first approach to reduce application complexities. Conduct research and consolidate best practices in IT architecture and maintain an up-to-date internal best practice repository. Develop architecture standards and principles covering all technology Landscape, including the roadmap and disseminate to all IT functions to enhance awareness and ensure that all IT processes and plans are in line with assigned technology landscape. Collaborate with the IT Governance to develop the architecture guidelines and policies to ensure that the IT systems across company are protected and well maintained. Support IT Planning with disaster recovery planning to ensure alignment with the business continuity plan. Ensure compliance of IT projects and (internally or externally) developed solutions with architectural standards and principles. Review and audit vendor list and suggestions to ensure compliance of new solutions with companies architecture standards and principles. Ensure that all architecture documents are properly maintained and updated for effective upkeep and easy retrieval when required. Coordinate and cooperate with IT project management to ensure that proposed vendor solutions comply with specified architecture. Analyze and improve data and application architecture to support end-to-end (cross-application) processes. Articulate the desired future state of companies architecture by performing a gap analysis and develop approaches to eliminate inefficiencies. Analyze technology and market trends to determine their potential impact on the companies strategy and architecture requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Management or equivalent.
10 years of experience in IT governance, architecture and quality control, including 4 years in a managerial role in a major public sector or private-sector organization in the region. Significant experience within the IT industry, with hands on experience across governance responsibilities Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project and/or SharePoint
Good to have relevant certifications such as COBIT, TOGAF 9
