Job Summary
Responsible for Instrumentation & Monitoring supporting AECOM site support team. Main interface with AECOM management team. Instrumentation & Monitoring review, control and approvals Main interface between Contractor's Instrumentation & Monitoring team and AECOM site support team. Participation in Instrumentation & Monitoring (I&M) review meetings Study Instrumentation & Monitoring results to evaluating trends to advise Client of potential issues. Providing support to AECOM's individual sites teams and proposing or mitigation measures for specified alert criteria Reviewing Contractor's proposed Alert, Action, Alarm (AAA) for different elements of the works and advising Client. Review and technical approval of the Contractor's arrangements for tunnel survey. Review and technical approval of the Contractor's survey and monitoring records.
Job Duties:

  • Proven track record in leadership of ground engineering/tunnels design teams and management of design delivery and ground related risks in a design and build environment

  • Possess strong problem solving and inter-personal skills.

  • Communicates well across all levels of the business

  • Demonstrates high level of accountability and independent decision making

  • Works closely and collaboratively with colleagues, client and delivery partners

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills the ability to write a clear and concise technical report is essential

  • Experienced in design of tunnels and underground structures /heavy civils works for rail and road schemes including slopes, foundations, retaining structures, shafts, tunnels etc.

  • In depth knowledge of the GCC working conditions, including client expectations, geotechnical conditions, standards and codes

  • Active contribution to Technical Excellence and innovation across regional ground engineering teams

Minimum Requirements

  • 15 years experience

  • 5 years experience in Instrumentation & Monitoring on similar rail/tunnel projects.
