Based in Dubai and reporting directly to the Head of GCC & Turkey WP FIG, this position will manage an assigned UAE client portfolio for the Wholesale Payments business, responsible for cash management, liquidity and trade finance services - to FI, NBFI an Public Sector clients. Responsibilities of the role will include identifying opportunities and initiatives for new business from both existing and prospective clients and being fully responsible for each opportunity. The candidate will proactively cover the market in close coordination with the Head and will maintain client account plans with clear targets to achieve and objectives set. The role involves managing the entire sales process from engagement to full implementation - this includes proposal issuance, price negotiation, documentation and coordinating with Client Service, Product Partners and the Implementation teams. The candidate will also own the control elements of the portfolio - AML, KYC and deal related approvals and reporting.
There will be cross-LOB engagement as well as with other key stakeholders - Credit and Risk. There will be opportunities to participate in J.P. Morgan and industry forums to ensure market visibility and periodic business and performance updates will need to be provided.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for actively managing an assigned client portfolio, selling core Wholesale Payment Products - primarily treasury services including cash management, liquidity and trade finance services - to Financial Institutions Group (FI, PS and Non-bank clients) in UAE.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for new business from both existing and prospective new clients in the region and following up on each opportunity.
  • Manage the entire sales process from selling to full implementation (including proposal issuance, pricing negotiation, documentation and coordinating product partners / implementation teams).
  • Responsible to coordinate among the wholesale KYC on-boarding team, local and regional compliance, and banking coverage teams to ensure that each client is meeting JP Morgan's AML, KYC, risk and financial institutions control standards. Coordinates periodic calls and meetings between JP Morgan and each client to review and update on onboarding, KYC, AML, risk and control assessments on each client.
  • Leverage and coordinate closely with the relevant partners (e.g Credit and product partners), the Corporate Bankers, IB and Senior Country Officers to broaden our contacts in current/prospective clients, understand buyer behavior and accelerate the decision-making process.
  • Provide cross LOB support and leadership to help achieve CIB objectives and a holistic approach to client management.
  • Provides periodic updates on sales performance to sales management
  • Ensures that sales targets, portfolio growth targets, account plans and other specified project related initiatives are met or exceeded. Works with product groups to identify new product development initiatives
  • Work in partnership with Client Service and Product Sale Specialist (PSS)
  • Responsible for the timely completion of required administrative tasks (KYC, i-meet call activities, input and tracking of deals on Deal Works)
  • Participates as required in external industry forums ensure market visibility for the WP franchise

Experience and Skills:
  • A proven track record in a sales environment within a financial services organization
  • Knowledge of cash management, liquidity & trade products
  • Knowledge of credit, risk management, KYC and AML in respect of Financial Institutions
  • Prior experience of working with Financial Institutions in UAE is preferred
  • Strong Interpersonal and selling skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
  • An efficient and confident communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • Language: English, other language skills related to countries covered will be a plus

  • Must be prepared to travel extensively to build the WP franchise in the region
